June 4, 2015 — DekaTron Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a Fix Firm Price contract for Support of the Expeditionary Logistics and Life Support Services for U.S. Navy forces, and other designated personnel, operating ashore in Acajutla, El Salvador.
DekaTron as the Expeditionary Services Contractor, will provide labor, material, and personnel, operational and technical support to perform in El Salvador, in support of Continuing Promise 2015 USNS COMFORT (T-AJ 20).
This ashore presence is part of a larger U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) directed mission: CP-15 USNS COMFORT. Approximately 100 Navy Medical/Dental personnel located in two medical sites will be supporting this operation in El Salvador. Additionally, 20 Navy Engineering/construction personnel will support local construction projects in two local schools.
Navy awarded the contract to DekaTron through a competitive procurement process in which all proposals were evaluated on the basis of technical merits, past performance and price in order to determine the best value to meet the government’s requirement. The Navy designated this contract as a full and open.
