Position Description:
The Research Analyst will provide project support and research assistance for management in the following functional areas: customer satisfaction improvement program, communication and publication management, survey administration, and data management.
The candidate will be organized, adept at managing multiple tasks and priorities, provide exceptional customer support, take initiative to proactively interact with other departments on data management issues, and deliver high quality, “production-ready” documentation.
The analyst will:
- Be expected to quickly learn the business goals of the organization;
- Utilize tools such as Excel and Tableau to better understand our ever-increasing set of customer satisfaction data;
- Execute existing SAS programs with minimum modification to generate reports
- Field business-specific questions from clients about how customer satisfaction data can inform our executive leadership’s decision making;
- Perform extensive quality assurance on quantitative and qualitative data
- Design and develop innovative presentation documents that will explain complicated concepts and process to a broad spectrum of audience;
- Develop conclusions and recommendations from sound scientific analysis; and
- Be able to effectively communicate their findings to executive leadership, clients, and stakeholders through various communication channels.
The analyst will also design, develop, and produce periodic (weekly / monthly / quarterly) and ad-hoc reports that provide actionable insights to VA executive leadership related to the delivery of IT products and services within the Department. The analyst will have a background in the successful application of research methodology and applied statistics and be able to communicate these complex findings to a wide range of audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret and summarize data in an actionable and understandable and visually appealing way
- Support survey related activities within the department
- Translate research findings into white papers and actionable solutions
- Plan, design, and develop highly intuitive executive level reports that provide insights into the nature of customer attitudes, end-user behavior, and potential improvements to IT services and systems in order to increase customer satisfaction
- Understand clients’ information needs, program objectives and department infrastructure to plan data analysis and reporting strategies
- Communicate directly with clients and/or stakeholders to clarify requirements or present research findings

Position Description:
The Senior SAS Programmer/Analyst will design, code, test, and implement SAS programs in order to provide actionable workforce insights using customer satisfaction survey data related to the delivery of IT services. The Analyst will have experience in the successful application of statistical methodology and be skilled in data mining and manipulation, regression, segmentation of customers and products, predictive and descriptive analytics, and applied statistics.
